What Is Piit28?
After finishing Cize I wanted to move onto PIIT 28. If you do not know what that is it is pilates intense interval training. I found this work out a few years ago because I had been following the blogilates calendars. Cassey at blogilates posts monthly calendars that follow her YouTube workouts. They are fantastic and are really going to challenge you. When she created PIIT it was a way to challenge us even more. Let me tell you right now it kicks your butt every single day!
This work out program is a set of six work outs a week with one rest day. Four of the six days are focused on a certain are of the body. While the other two days are strictly cardio based. Now don’t think that just because it is focused on an area of the body that you won’t get your blood pumping. The workouts are seven moves done in forty five seconds with ten second breaks between. You will do each round four times to complete the work out. Then you have a stretching routine to round it all out.
Piit28 Challenges So Far
As I stated before your blood will be pumping with every workout! Cassey makes sure that you do a cardio intensive move between each strength move. She states that this helps you burn so many more calories than other workouts. Honestly, you will probably feel like you won’t make it through all four rounds. It is a very hard work out so you have to be up for the challenge! I would say if you really think you can’t make it through four rounds do what you can and keep working up to four.
My biggest complaint on this work out is that I forgot how much I hate planks. My wrists are screaming every time we do a workout. In the first week you spend a lot more time in plank so I was happy to see a change in week two. There is also a ton of jumping in these workouts. If you live in an apartment and haven’t mastered soft landing you might be in trouble.
Outside of the planks and jumping my other complaint is that she doesn’t show many modifications. I try to do the moves completely, but there are a lot that I just can’t do. Don’t get me wrong she sometimes does show modification, but most of the time she does not. This was more of an issue for me in the stretching programs afterwards.

Piit28 Review So Far
Since I am larger in certain areas my body just won’t bend like hers does. I know that it is a journey and I will get there. But it is hard to get there when you can’t get into the position to start with. I ended up looking up modifications for the moves on YouTube and it helped me a ton. I feel like I am getting more out of the stretching now! The biggest advice I have from that is to get a strap that you can hold onto better in certain moves!
I am looking forward to the last half of this program! I want to see the results of all of this hard work and be able to share with all of you! If you want to try out the workout I have gone ahead and added the link below for you!
