Journey To A Weight Loss Clinic
Around this time last year I decided I was going to go to a weight loss clinic. Up this point in my I had tried almost everything that I could think of to lose weight. I had tried popular pills that you could buy at vitamin shops. I had tried weight watchers and Nutrisystem. All worked for a little while, but nothing ever really stuck because it was a diet and not a lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong I hate that saying more than anything in the world because it is such a cliché.
Honestly everything about weight loss these days has become so cliché because we hear the same thing everywhere we go. If you sat me down and told me all I had to do was eat healthy and work out I would probably roll my eyes at you and say yup I know that already! Mostly because I am the most stubborn human being you will ever know ha ha.
Finding More From A Weight Loss Clinic
At this point I was looking for the Hail Mary because I believed there had to be something special that I just wasn’t getting from these online programs or online advice. I decided it was time to get doctors involved so I sought out a weight loss clinic near me and made an appointment. It was a pretty small office with only a couple of rooms. They had a pretty awesome scale that told you how hydrated you were and a good estimate of fat to muscle.
One big thing I kept learning from that scale was that I was SUPER dehydrated! Which I guess if I really thought about it I already knew that. I would sit there all day at work thinking about how I was a little thirsty. Never getting up to get a water until I was parched.
Experience With The Weight Loss Clinic
My experience at the clinic it was not what I initially expected. To help me feel fuller longer I was given some pills. Also got B12 shots for energy and told to keep a food journal and do some exercise. The pills worked great, but I only stayed on them a couple of months because honestly they were worked way too well. I would forget to eat until 3 in the afternoon and we all know to lose weight you still have to eat! The pills helped me lose my first 15 pounds which helped my motivation to keep going.
The one thing I was very resistant to in the beginning was the food journal. I absolutely hate counting calories which is why weight watchers never worked for me. I’m terrible at remembering to do something every day so remembering to write down what I ate was just not my strong suit.
After The Weight Loss Clinic
I stopped going to the weight loss clinic after a few visits because it really felt like a bandage on top of the real issues I was having. I forced myself to track my water intake every day and I got a lot better at the food journal. These things on top of the exercise program I was doing helped me lose 45 pounds in 6 months! I can’t wait to dive in deeper with you all on how I achieved this. I want to show you that anyone can accomplish this. Also, I want to build a support group of people because at the end of the day we can’t do this alone!
